๐ŸŒŸ Handhoosa 2025 โ€“ Youth Day ๐ŸŒŸ

๐Ÿ“… September 6, 2025
โ€œHere am I. Send me!โ€ (Isaiah 6:8)

The Heartbeat of the Church

The youth are the strength and heartbeat of our Church. Their energy, creativity, and sincere love for Jesus shine as a powerful witness in todayโ€™s world.

St. John Paul II once reminded the young:

โ€œYou are called to be a powerful force for good, transforming society through faith, hope, and love.โ€

And Pope Benedict XVI encouraged them with these words:

โ€œDear young people, the happiness you are seeking, the happiness you have a right to enjoy has a name and a face: it is Jesus of Nazarethโ€ฆโ€

 The Meaning of Handhoosa

The word Handhoosa means Happiness. Yet this is not the fleeting happiness the world offers โ€” it is the true happiness found only in encountering Christ.

Handhoosa is not simply a youth program. It is a life-changing encounter with Jesus. It is a sacred moment for our young people too:

Deepen their friendship with Jesus

 Discover their mission in life

Connect with vibrant young believers

Shine the light of the Gospel in todayโ€™s world

โ€œLet no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, conduct, love, spirit, faith, purity.โ€ โ€“ 1 Timothy 4:12

 A Call to Parents

Dear parents, your encouragement can make all the difference. The Lord has entrusted you with nurturing the faith of your children. Events like Handhoosa are moments of grace that can leave a lasting mark on their journey of faith.

Please:

โ€ข Encourage your children to register here

โ€ข Remind them that the Church believes in them.

โ€ข Inspire them to respond with courage, like the prophet Isaiah: โ€œHere am I. Send me!โ€ (Isaiah 6:8)

 Our Prayer for Handhoosa 2025

With your support and prayers, Handhoosa 2025 can become a turning point โ€” an encounter with Christ that sets the hearts of our youth on fire for Him.

May our young people rise with courage, shine with faith, and become joyful witnesses of Christ in our world.

Let us pray that every young person attending this gathering may encounter the love of Jesus in a personal and powerful way, and boldly echo the words of Isaiah:

โ€œHere am I. Send me!โ€
